The AD537SD is a power management integrated circuit (PMIC) that includes a voltage-to-frequency (V/F) and frequency-to-voltage (F/V) converter. It is ideally suited for use in systems where energy conservation or limited energy budgets are a concern.the architecture of the AD537SD integrated circuit consists of a voltage-to-frequency (V/F) converter and a frequency-to-voltage (F/V) converter. The V/F converter has a linear input range of 0 to 2.5 volts and an adjustable output range of 0 to 2kHz. The F/V converter contains a programmable gain range of 0.1 to 10 V/kHz which allows for higher level current control applications.The AD537SD has a slew rate of 1mV/uS, an input voltage range of 0 to 5 volts and an adjustable frequency range of 0 to 10kHz. It operates from an on-chip dual temperature range power supply of 1.8V to 12V, which is adjustable and compatible with most current applications. The AD537SD can be configured for both single ended and differential input configurations, and it is capable of driving up to 10mA load and a 10V supply voltage with 90% accuracy of the output voltage.The power consumption of the AD537SD is very low and it is very efficient in its power consumption. This is because the AD537SD utilizes an on-chip converter architecture and a precision voltage reference. The voltage reference is programmable, enabling the user to select the most appropriate reference voltage to be used in the application.
