The AD5724RBREZ is a precision, high-performance, 16-bit voltage output digital-to-analog converter (DAC). This device is a monolithic IC and is designed for fast settling time and very low distortion, making it ideal for precision instrumentation applications. In operation the AD5724RBREZ accepts digital input codes of up to 16-bits, which then determines the analog output voltage from 0V to the reference voltage. A low noise, low drift, and wide range, integrated 5ppm/K temperature-compensated bandgap reference is included to allow the user to easily adjust the maximum output voltage of the device. The reference voltage is adjustable up to 10.0V

The device features a power-down mode, which allows the user to put the part into a low-power, stand-by mode that consumes less than 1µA of current. This feature is important in portable and battery-operated applications where low-power consumption is an important factor.
