Structure of AD586BR

The monolithic IC consists of two distinct parts a) an adjustable bandgap reference, or core, and b) an output amplifier.
The reference core is designed to produce a reference voltage of 10V with a high degree of accuracy and stability over a broad range of temperatures.
The output amplifier is designed to minimize the effect of noise from the output signal. It is also designed to be thermally coupled to the reference core, providing temperature compensation for the device.Working Principle
The AD586BR can be operated in either linear or switch mode, as determined by the application.
Linear Mode: In this mode, the output voltage is determined by the external resistive divider network and temperature coefficient of the reference voltage. In this case, R1 and C1 are used to set the reference voltage and temperature coefficient, respectively.
