AD7305YRZ is a high-precision, monolithic, 12-bit Digital to Analog Converter (DAC) manufactured with an analog output temperature range of -40°C to +85°C. It has a minimum ±3LSB max output error, a minimum settling time of 1. 14µs, and an integral nonlinearity (INL) of 0.3LSB. AD7305YRZ is suitable for applications ranging from complex digital signal processing and sample rate conversion to precision data acquisition and image processing.
The AD7305YRZ is designed for a wide variety of applications, especially in precision analog signal acquisition and control systems. It has a single-supply operating range of 4.75V to 5.25V, and can be used in any voltage bounds from 3V to 5.5V. It has low glitch energy, and extremely low noise of 10 nV/ Hz. Its digital inputs are compatible with LVCMOS logic, making it widely compatible with various micro-controllers and FPGAs. It also features an on-chip voltage reference, auto-zero, and an option for a power-down mode.
The AD7305YRZ uses a Delta-Sigma modulator architecture to produce accurate, low-noise results. Its outputs are connected to a sample-and-hold element to filter out the noise and achieve its fast settling time of 1.14µs. The Delta-Sigma modulator consists of three stages; a pro-filter, a first-order modulator, and a loop filter. The pro-filter is designed to attenuate the higher-frequency disturbances and limit the output range of the modulator. The first-order modulator consists of internal feedback loops which are well compensated to minimize the nonlinearity, and help to reduce the noise and in-band distortions generated at the output of the modulator. Finally, the loop filter takes the output of the modulator, filters it and reduces the quantization noise.
