Data Acquisition - Digital to Analog Converters (DAC) include the AD7391AN application field and working principle. The ADC7391AN is an 8-channel, 18-bit, microprocessor-controlled, Digital to Analog Converter (DAC). It provides excellent voltage resolution, accuracy, and reliability for a wide range of applications, from industrial automation to medical imaging.
The AD7391AN is an 8-channel digital to analog converter that combines the technology of a 16-bit digital-to-analog converter with an on-chip DSP (Digital Signal Processor) to produce an 18-bit digital-to-analog converter with digital signal conditioning. The AD7391AN uses two digital-to-analog (DAC) cores, each with a resolution of 8 bits and an accuracy of 14 bits. The DACs are configured to produce a single 18-bit output.

The AD7391AN can also be configured in a Multiple Digital to Analog Configuration (MDAC) mode. In this mode, up to eight independent 16-bit DACs can be combined in a single unit. This configuration allows for higher resolution output, reliability and power efficiency. The MDAC configuration also eliminates the need for external components, saving costs and space.
