The AD7863ARSZ-3REEL analog to digital converter (ADC) is a low-power, single-chip, 12-bit SAR (successive approximation) ADC suitable for data acquisition applications in the automotive, industrial, and consumer markets.

The AD7863ARSZ-3REEL features an on-chip track-and-hold (T/H) function, separate analog and digital supply voltages, an internal reference and an analog input range from 0V to VREF and from VREF to VDD. Separate analog and digital power pins and thermal over-temperature detection are provided to protect the device in thermal runaway conditions. The AD7813ARSZ-3REEL is optimized for a particular frequency range, allowing faster conversion speeds with lower power consumption and higher accuracy.

The AD7863ARSZ-3REEL has a built-in temperature sensor for temperature compensation of the conversion results. It is designed on a 0.35µm CMOS process, features low power consumption and consumes only one-third of the power of the traditional 12-bit SAR ADC products.
