AD7878JPZ chip was developed by Analog Devices, and is a part of the company\'s data acquisition - analog to digital converters (ADC) family. It is a single supply, low-to-mid range integrated sample-and-hold (ISH) ADC chip that possesses on-chip sample and hold capacitors which are capable of converting analog signals into representations suitable for digital signal processing.

The internal circuit of the AD7878JPZ chip, consists of a precision charge pump amplifier and an 8-bit, fully differential flash analog to digital converter. The AD7878JPZ is designed to minimize power consumption and reduce external component count, making it suitable for battery powered products. This high-performance integrated ISH ADC requires only a single power supply, a single crystal oscillator, and a single decoupling capacitor.

The power supply range of the AD7878JPZ is from 2.6 V to 5.5 V, while the core and reference supply ranges are from 1.7V to 5.25 V. The device is designed to operate at temperatures between -40 °C and +85 °C, and is available in a 12-pin, 0.5 mm pitch, TDFN package for surface mounting.
