The AD8032ARM-REEL is an extended-range precision dual low-noise, fast-settling op-amp that features very low quiescent current, high speed, and high linearity in a small package. This device is ideal for specifying high-performance, low-noise, low-power designs for use in medical instrumentation, test and measurement equipment, and high-dynamic-range RF circuitries. It is also suitable for audio and video applications.
The AD8032ARM-REEL belongs to a family of linear amplifiers, instrumentation amplifiers, operational amplifiers, buffer amplifiers and other precision components. It is suited for high-temperature operation, with an operational temperature range from -40℃ to +125℃. The device also features low quiescent current, high output current drive and low-noise performance for high dynamic range. It has rail-to-rail output swing and single supply operation from 2.7V to 5.5V.
At the heart of the AD8032ARM-REEL is a high-performance, low-noise differential amplifier circuit, along with enhanced features such as a high slew-rate capability, low distortion and low input offset voltage. Its designed power stage consists of four complementary bipolar NPN transistors, configured in an output gain stage, which provides excellent linearity and fast settling time.
The output voltage is regulated by an adjustable gain stage, providing an output voltage range of 0.28 V to 4.8 V when powered by a single 5 V supply. To ensure precise output voltage regulation, the gain stage consists of two precision voltage divider resistors, adjustable through a control pin. Then, a variable loop gain controls the closed-loop gain of the amplifier. This feature aids in optimizing the wide dynamic range of the system.
The AD8032ARM-REEL uses advanced frequency compensation techniques to achieve low-noise, low-distortion, and fast-settling performance. The device has a frequency compensation capacitor to adjust the input stage gain, a compensation network to adjust the loop gain, and a gain-dependent feed-forward compensation network to optimize the amplifier\'s THD and stability.
In addition, the AD8032ARM-REEL features an on-chip temperature compensator for improved temperature stability. This control line is used to reduce the output offset voltage by adjusting the common-mode voltage. The temperature compensator is activated when the temperature exceeds the specified limit. This feature prevents the amplifier from oscillation caused by thermal drift in the output stage.
