1. Describe

The INA190A1IRSWT is a low power, voltage output, shunt supervisor (also known as a current sense amplifier). This device is typically used for overcurrent protection, precision current measurement for system optimization, or closed-loop feedback circuits. The INA190A1IRSWT can sense the voltage drop across the shunt at common-mode voltages from –0.2 V to +40 V, independent of the supply voltage. The device's low input bias current allows the use of larger current sense resistors, providing accurate current measurements in the microamp range. The low offset voltage of the zero-drift architecture extends the dynamic range of current measurements. This feature allows the use of smaller sense resistors and lower power losses while still providing accurate current measurements. The INA190A1IRSWT operates from a single 1.7-V to 5.5-V supply and consumes a maximum supply current of 65 µA when enabled; only 0.1 µA when disabled. Five fixed gain options are available: 25 V/V, 50 V/V, 100 V/V, 200 V/V or 500 V/V. The device is specified for operation from –40°C to +125°C and is available in UQFN, SC70 and SOT-23 packages. The INA190A1IRSWT is a low bias current, low offset voltage, 40V common mode current sense amplifier. The DDF SOT-23 and RSW UQFN packages also have an enable pin. The INA190 is a current-sense amplifier specially designed to accurately measure the voltage developed across the current-sense resistor at common-mode voltages well in excess of the supply voltage. Measure current on input voltage rails up to 40 V at VIN+ and VIN– with supply voltage VS as low as 1.7 V. When disabled, the output goes into a high impedance state and supply current consumption is reduced to less than 0.1 µA. The INA190 is designed for low-side and high-side current sensing configurations that require high accuracy and low current consumption.

The INA190A1IRSWT amplifies the voltage developed across the current sense resistor as current flows through resistor to load or ground. The high common mode rejection of the INA190 allows it to be used over a wide range voltage rail while still maintaining accurate current measurements.
