AD8061AR Application Field and Working PrincipleThe AD8061AR is an application-specific, precision, low current, low noise, low power, high-speed, rail-to-rail CMOS amplifier. It combines high input impedance, low output impedance, wide bandwidth and low offset voltage. It is an ideal choice for a wide range of applications, including power control systems, audio amplifiers and instrumentation amplifiers.Application Field of AD8061ARThe AD8061AR is available in eight different packages, ranging from small SOIC to TSSOP and LFCSP, adapting to whatever space and power constraints users have. It features rail-to-rail output swing and input common-mode voltage range from 1.8V to VEE, allowing it to be operated from a single supply.Due to its wide range of features, the AD8061AR is suitable for use in a variety of linear applications, including power control systems, audio amplifiers, instrumentation amplifiers and buffering amplifiers. It offers low power dissipation of 5.3mW/channel at 5V and 4 mW/channel at 3V, making it an ideal choice for battery-powered systems. The differential input frequency of up to 32MHz, along with the low distortion of 0.0002% when driving 20kΩ loads, make the AD8061AR suitable for a wide range of audio applications. Additionally, its high input impedance, low output impedance and low offset voltage of 0.4mV (typ.) make it suitable for precision instrumentation and sensor signal conditioning applications.Working Principle of AD8061ARThe AD8061AR is a two-stage linear amplifier, integrating a high-performance CMOS input differential pair and output stage driving a low input bias current, low distortion output buffer.The input differential pair is designed as a single-ended input structure with balanced, symmetric pairs of PMOS and NMOS transistors, consisting of seven transistors in total. This is to ensure high input impedance and stable, low frequency performance. The second stage of the amplifier is an emitter coupled logic (ECL) output buffer. The output buffer drives a low output-layer bias current and low distortion output buffer, suitable for a wide range of applications.In order to ensure low power dissipation, the AD8061AR operates at a wide-ranged supply voltage, ranging from 3V to 5V, providing 5.3 mW/channel at 5V and 4 mW/channel at 3V.The AD8061AR provides a rail-to-rail output swing and features a low offset voltage of 0.4mV (typ.).
