With a fully-differential input stage, excellent output drive capability, and a no-latency shutdown mode, the AD8091ARZ is a perfect choice for instrumentation amplifiers and active analog signal conditioning circuits.Definition of Instrumentation AmplifiersInstrumentation amplifiers (also known as “in-amps”) are special, precise amplifiers characterized by high open-loop gain, low noise, low distortion, wide frequency response, and high input impedance. They are designed to accept small differential signals from a transducer or sensor, amplify them, and provide an isolated and accurate output.In-amps are commonly used in industrial instrumentation, motion sensing and control systems, precision voltage sensing circuits, and other applications. Since in-amps are accurate, reliable, and robust amplifiers, they have become increasingly popular in a wide range of practical and demanding applications.The Working Principle of AD8091ARZAD8091ARZ is a precision CMOS amplifier that includes a low offset, high impedance fully-differential input stage and a high current output amplifier. It has a wide common-mode input range (0V to +3V) and can operate on a single supply voltage (3V to 7V).The high open-loop gain of AD8091ARZ provides excellent linearity and accuracy, even at very low signal levels. Its low quiescent current together with the high output voltage swing make it an ideal amplifier for low-power precision applications.The input stage of the AD8091ARZ includes a low offset, high impedance and fully differential input amplifier. The differential amplifier is connected between the two support pins, negative (VCOM-) and positive (VCOM+), providing high common-mode rejection and low noise.The differential amplifier is followed by two voltage followers whose outputs are connected to the power supply rails (VSS and VSS).
