The AD8151ASTZ is a high-speed, low-power, monolithic, CMOS analog multiplexer. It is a four channel multiplexer that switches digital signals from Logic High and Logic Low to digital signals from Output High and Output Low.

The AD8151ASTZ is mainly used for applications such as signal multiplexing for analog, digital, and RF signals. It can be used to select among multiple sources and distribute to multiple destinations. This device is also suitable for use in sample and hold circuits, mixer circuits, switching multiple audio voltage inputs to one input and sample data stream multiplexing.

The AD8151ASTZ contains four bidirectional switching elements, each driven by an enable signal, E1, E2, E3, or E4. The AD8151ASTZ is ideal for digital communication applications where fast switching and low power consumption are important. It is often used in video compression, optical communication, high speed data conversion, multiplexers and decoders and as input/output expanders. The AD8151ASTZ operates in two modes: single-ended mode and differential-ended mode. In single-ended mode, the enabling signal is connected to one of the two pins of the channel, and the other pin is used as the output. In this mode, the channel is enabled when the enabling signal is at 0.5 V below the selected channel pin. In differential-ended mode, the enabling signal is connected to both pins of the channel, and the output is between the two pins. In this mode, the channel is enabled when the enabling signal is within 0.2 V of both pins.

The AD8151ASTZ is ideal for applications where analog or digital signals have to be multiplexed, sampled and held, sampled data stream multiplexed, switched, distributed or amplified. This multiplexer provides fast switching, low power consumption and low on-resistance in a low cost, monolithic form.
