Analog Devices AD843JN is an improved version of the popular rail-to-rail input/output (RRIO) op amp specifically designed for instrumentation, data acquisition, and single-supply automation applications. It offers low power dissipation, guaranteed DC accuracy, and low noise, making it ideal for engineers who need to get signals into and out of their systems while maintaining their integrity. The AD843JN has a wide range of uses from input buffers to gain stages, filtering, and is well suited for many applications and can even replace many discrete components.

Application Field and Working Principle

The AD843JN is a single-channel, low-voltage, low-noise, rail-to-rail input/output op amp. It is wideband, with a GBW of 1.6MHz and a GBW/slew rate product of 3MHz. It can function over a wide range of supply voltages, and can drive both single-ended and split-supply loads. It also has low power dissipation, low noise, and low distortion—all of which combine to make the AD843JN ideal for applications where performance or accuracy is paramount.

The driver can source or sink up to 35mA with a 1.3V supply.

The AD843JN is designed to deliver precise linear performance over a wide temperature range by using a temperature-compensated circuit topology that provides highly accurate common-mode and offset voltage accuracy. A programmable offset voltage is also available, allowing the amp to be used for fine frequency control and/or for additional gain for precision measurement applications. The device also features a very high input impedance which is ideal for driving capacitive loads, making it ideal for mixed-signal applications.
