AD845JN Application Field and Working Principle

The AD845JN instrumentation amplifier is a linear integrated circuit that is used to convert a differential input signal, in a single-ended output signal. This input voltage differential is then measured and compared against a reference voltage, Vref. The output voltage is equal to the difference between this differential input and the reference, multiplied by a gain factor.The AD845JN’s two gain controlled amplifiers provide two-stage gain control. This allows the user to set a desired gain level, and the gain control amplifiers remain matched for the entire frequency range. Furthermore, the AD845JN has an additional closed loop, which can be controlled independently from the gain-controlled amplifiers. This provides a third stage of gain control and helps to reduce noise.The AD845JN also has a wide gain bandwidth product, which is the ratio of the Gain Bandwidth (GBW) to the Gain Error (GE).
