The AD9750-EB is a digital-to-analog converter (DAC) evaluation board from Analog Devices, Inc. The board is designed to evaluate the performance of the AD9750, a 10-bit, high-speed, low-power, single channel, voltage output, digital-to-analog converter (DAC). It operates from a 5 V to 10 V single-supply operation and is capable of both positive and negative outputs with a differential linearity error of 0.5 LSB max. Its excellent features make the AD9750-EB an ideal solution for power and speed-sensitive applications such as automotive data acquisition systems and high-speed, high-resolution data conversion systems.The AD9750-EB evaluation board offers four connectors for input and output of the DAC, and two separate clock pins for sampling and data synchronization. The evaluation board also includes a 10-bit digital potentiometer (DPOT) integrated circuit (IC) to facilitate system calibration. It features buffered full-scale VREF output that maintains excellent linearity even at higher frequencies. The board also offers an adjustable zero-scale resistor to customize the output voltage offset to match customer requirement.The AD9750-EB evaluation board has been designed to minimize the noise as much as possible. It has excellent THD performance and high-speed settling time. It also features snapshot mode capability, allowing the DAC to be triggered on a separate channel to acquire instantaneous data output. This can be used for fast sampling applications requiring multiple DACs to be triggered simultaneously.In terms of performance, the AD9750-EB can operate up to 250 MSPS (Million Samples Per Second) and provides an output bandwidth of 600 MHz. The board also features low power consumption, consuming only 5.5 mW of power at 5 V operation and 12 mW of power at 10 V operation. The board is also capable of outputting high-voltage analog signals of up to 10 Vpp. These features combined make it an ideal solution for high-speed data acquisition systems.The working principle of the AD9750-EB evaluation board is based on a CMOS dual DAC architecture, which provides high signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) performance, excellent linearity, and wide dynamic range. The device has a 10-bit resolution and a unipolar voltage output format. The digital data is converted to an analog output by means of an internal voltage reference and a pair of differential DAC cores. The AD9750-EB board also features two separate clock pins for sampling and data synchronization.The AD9750-EB evaluation board is a great choice for applications that require low power, high speed, and excellent linearity performance.
