The ADA4311-1ARHZ is a precision, wideband, 10-MHz, CMOS, double-balanced mixer and buffer amplifier. It contains two wideband, high-performance double-balanced mixer cores and two buffers, providing a low-noise, high-performance transformer-balanced 10-MHz output. The device provides excellent dynamic performance over the full 10-MHz frequency range, with very low harmonic distortion, providing good linearity and low noise.The ADA4311-1ARHZ has a wide range of applications. The product is suitable for low noise broadband radio applications such as receiver, mixer, and AGC (automatic gain control). It can also be used as a wideband active filter, as well as an IF (intermediate frequency) amplifier, wireless communication systems and telecommunication systems. Additionally, the device has applications in high-performance instrumentation and industrial monitoring and control systems.The ADA4311-1ARHZ is a fully-differential device, so it is inherently free from common-mode noise. The differential architecture and wideband operation also makes the device very useful for rejecting digital noise or interfering signals, as the device is able to reject such signals by operation of the internal mixer cores.The working principle of the ADA4311-1ARHZ is based on a differential input circuit, which is then followed by an internally-generated differential current source. This current source generates an alternating current, which when combined with the differential input signal, produces a transformer-balanced differential output signal. This output is then buffered and sent to a 10-MHz output.The device is designed to be simple and robust in operation, providing very low harmonic distortion and excellent linearity over the full 10 MHz frequency range. Additionally, the device has excellent common mode rejection, with rejection exceeding 80 dB up to 20 MHz. Furthermore, the device is designed with power down control, allowing the device to be powered down when not in use, reducing power consumption and extending the life of the device.In summary, the ADA4311-1ARHZ is a precision, wideband, 10-MHz, CMOS, double-balanced mixer and buffer amplifier.
