The ADC12L080EVAL evaluation board was developed by Texas Instruments as an example evaluation system for a 12-bit A/D converter (ADC) which utilizes their revolutionary 12-bit low power sigma-delta (Σ-∆) ADC. This evaluation board’s primary purpose is for evaluation, visualizing, and monitoring of the converter functions as well as of the different modes of operation of which the converter is capable of. The board also allows for testing the performance, stability, dynamic range, resolution, and speed of the ADC in a variety of operating conditions.

The AD12L080EVAL board includes a powerful, 12-bit low-power, sigma-delta ADC that converts analog signals into digital ones for use in many applications. The board allows for testing a device\'s performance in a variety of conditions, including sampling rates, resolutions, and input ranges. The ADC offers excellent low-powered performance, allowing for longer battery life and lower noise levels for applications powered by batteries or other environmentally-friendly energy sources.
