The ADM1041-EVAL evaluation board is designed for a variety of AC/DC (off-line) switch mode power supplies (SMPS). The evaluation board simplifies the process of selecting the correct components for a particular design, as well as testing the design to ensure that the design meets all performance criteria. The evaluation board can be used to evaluate a wide range of off-line SMPS topologies and applications, such as flyback, forward, hybrid, interleaved, bi-level, integrated magnetics, single and multi-phase designs. The evaluation board also provides users with the ability to adjust various parameters, such as the output voltage, current and frequency, depending on the application. The board is designed to withstand a wide range of AC input voltage from 85VAC to 265VAC, as well as a wide range of DC input voltage from 10VDC to 300VDC in order to meet the needs of different off-line SMPS applications.The ADM1041-EVAL evaluation board is based on the ADM1041 controller IC, which provides users with a fully integrated power supply solution. The IC combines an integrated power MOSFET and floating high-side current sense with an advanced control loop. The IC also has a built-in soft-start and over-current protection, allowing the user to create a highly reliable power supply design.The evaluation board is designed to provide users with a wide range of features, including adjustable feedback current levels, current mode control, programmable soft-start, adjustable overvoltage, over-current, and undervoltage protection. In addition, the board also features adjustable frequency compensation, as well as adjustable line and load regulation. The evaluation board is designed to work with a wide range of load conditions, and includes an adjustable PWM/off-time comparator circuit, allowing users to optimize their design for different power levels and various switch frequencies. The evaluation board is also designed to provide users with the ability to adjust the phase margin and transient response.
