ADM1487EARZ Application Field and Working Principle
ADM1487EARZ is an Interface - Drivers, Receivers, Transceivers for high-speed active Digital-to-Analog Converter (DAC) applications. It features a differential 128 kHz master clock. The receiver section operates up to 350 Mbps, allowing data to be transported over multiple communication lines such as Ethernet, Fibre Channel, and USB. It also features a differential signal attenuation of 12 dB, a noise-rejection of 50 dB up to 1 GHz, and a maximum input current of 200 mA.The ADM1487EARZ receiver section contains two or four differential signal inputs, each with independent data settings, an LVPECL signal input range of 350 Mbps, an LVCMOS signal input range of 150 Mbps, an internal clock detector up to 120 MHz, and an adjustable output drive strength up to 2.5 V. It also contains an SRAM, which provides a programurable low power consumption.The ADM1487EARZ has an integrated digital-to-analog converter (DAC) with a resolution of 8, 10, 12 or 14 bits and an operating range of 1.8V to 2.5V. The integrated DAC is capable of accepting various clock rates from the receiver\'s 128 kHz master clock up to 350 Mbps; allowing for data to be clocked from the source to the DAC with no data translation.The receiver\'s output buffer is capable of driving full 180 degree differential outputs for both LVPECL and LVCMOS signals at up to 350 Mbps. The output buffer supports an LVCMOS single-ended signal for programmable output levels up to 2.5V. It also features an adjustable impedance to match the loads, and a termination impedance of 50 ohms (matched) for each output.With its contribution to low power consumption and its flexible signal inputs, the ADM1487EARZ is the ideal Interface - Drivers, Receivers, Transceivers for Automotive, Communications, Consumer and Industrial applications. Thanks to its high-speed response, it is also ideal for high-speed data and audio applications requiring low latency time.The ADM1487EARZ is based on a differential architecture and it is capable of high-speed operation to reduce power consumption and increase noise immunity. In order to achieve this, the ADC features a fast-selectable pre-emphasis curve, an internal clock detector up to 120 MHz, and an output buffer capable of driving full 180-degree differential outputs.The ADM1487EARZ is also designed to support a wide variety of key applications such as consumer Audio products, automotive infotainment, industrial control systems and communication systems. It is a versatile, reliable, and cost effective solution for high-speed differential inputs. Its internal dynamic line adjustment coupled with its adjustable termination impedance allows the ADM1487EARZ to meet all the requirements of both low power consumption and noise immunity. Furthermore, the receiver\'s output buffer is capable of driving full 180-degree differential outputs for both LVPECL and LVCMOS signals at an impressive 350 Mbps.With its combination of high speed, low power consumption and adjustable termination impedance, the ADM1487EARZ is the ideal Interface - Drivers, Receivers, Transceivers for a range of high-speed applications.
