The ADM709SANZ PMIC has an integrated voltage regulator, a global power-on reset (POR) circuit, two manual reset inputs, an independent overtemperature reset circuit, and a complex dual reset/watchdog reset circuit. The voltage regulator in the ADM709SANZ provides up to 425mA of regulated current, enabling the system to run at a low voltage, with no external voltage regulator. To measure system voltage, the POR can be programmed with a wide voltage range, from 1V to 5.5V. The dual reset/watchdog circuit blocks the output of the voltage regulator and the reset signal until both signals are received, preventing any interference from spurious reset signals.The dual manual reset inputs make it easy to monitor device operation and detect fault conditions. The reset signal is generated when the reset input voltage goes below a specified threshold. An overtemperature reset circuit monitors the junction temperature of the IC and shuts down the system if the temperature exceeds a set limit.Working Principle
