It is robust and reliable, and ideal for use in remote, compact applications where local power is limited.The ADMV1012AEZ has two basic operating states, linear and non-linear. In linear mode, the amplifier provides a gain of up to 10dB at the center frequency and is able to accept higher input signals up to 10dB above the linear range. In non-linear mode, the amplifier provides a gain of up to 15dB at the center frequency and can accept higher input signals up to 15dB above the linear range.The ADMV1012AEZ utilizes several technologies to provide superior performance. These include, gain flatness, low noise, high linearity and low distortion. Gain flatness is achieved by utilizing a Gaussian-function feedback loop which reduces gain variation over the entire operating frequency bandwidth. Low noise is obtained by utilizing a low thermal noise design employing several types of surface-mount and chip packaging techniques. High linearity is achieved by utilizing a 3-stage cascade amplifier topology with a 2:1 image reject filter and an AGC circuit.Finally, the ADMV1012AEZ utilizes low distortion performance by employing a special distortion reduction and signal stability technique called CH-XP® which reduces distortion by up to 19dB at high input power levels.In summary, the ADMV1012AEZ is an excellent choice for a variety of applications requiring medium volume amplification.
