The ADP166UJ-EVALZ evaluation board is a high-efficiency, low-cost, linear voltage regulator designed to provide up to a maximum of 1.8 A continuous current at output voltages ranging from 1.8 V to 5.5 V. It is part of Analog Devices\' linear regulator product line. The ADP166UJ-EVALZ evaluation board provides the user an opportunity to experiment with its features and capabilities before integrating it into a design.

The ADP166UJ is a low-dropout linear voltage regulator, designed to convert inputs from 4.5 V to 16 V to outputs between 1.8 V and 5.5 V. This regulator is specially designed to run at low current dissipation levels and has a high efficiency of up to 96%. It is ideal for use in tightly regulated voltage supplies for microprocessors, DSPs, FPGAs, and ASICs.

The signal paths and power connections of the ADP166UJ-EVALZ evaluation board are laid out on the board in line with the layout of products in production specialized in voltage models. This mechanism results in a voltage output which follows the predetermined reference voltage and provides precise control of end-product regulator voltage with no external components. With the ADP166UJ-EVALZ evaluation board, the output voltage can be easily adjusted by enabling/disabling the SMD jumper and setting the output voltage values.
