RF Evaluation and Development Kits, Boards are widely used for the development, evaluation, testing and analog charateristic analysis of radio designs. The ADRF6603-EVALZ board is one of these kits that is developed by Analog Devices, Inc (ADI) and it is used for evaluating the RF performance of the ADRF6603 RF Voltage Amplifier. The kit comes with all the components required for connecting this amplifier to an automatic test equipment (ATE).
The ADRF6603-EVALZ application field includes wideband amplifiers, power amplifiers, and RF modules, that are used in automotive, handheld devices and communications systems. It is also used for radio frequency (RF) system design and prototyping.
The ADRF6603-EVALZ comes with two RF output ports, one reference port, and access to various control options. The RF output ports are designed for both low-impedance pulse-width modulated (PWM) and low-noise pulse integrators (PI). The reference port is used for measuring the output voltage of the amplifier, while the control options allow for the selection of the desired gain, frequency, gain control, and DC offset.
The ADRF6603-EVALZ works on the principle of using a feedback loop between the internal circuitry of the amplifier and gain control circuitry of the kit. The kit has an internal amplifier, an adjustable gain control circuitry, and a reference voltage source.
