The ADS1110A2IDBVR is an analog-to-digital converter (ADC) which is widely deployed in data acquisition applications. It is a single-channel, 16-bit, low-power and low-cost analog-to-digital converter based on the Analog Devices Inc. proprietary technology. It is ideal for applications that require low resolution and low power consumption.This device has dual-supply operation and can operate either from a +5 V supply or from a +2.7 V to +5.5 V supply. It has a maximum sampling rate of 3.9 k samples per second and it can be programmed to sample at lower rates or to use a single-shot operation. It contains an input analog rangeable from 0 V to VDD, and an output range of 0.025 V to VDD. The ADS1110A2IDBVR has a unipolar input mode and a bipolar input mode. The unipolar input mode is used to measure positive voltage signals from 0 V to VDD. The bipolar input mode is used to measure positive and negative voltage signals from -(3/4)VREF to VREF, where VREF is the analog reference voltage.The ADS1110A2IDBVR also has an on-chip filtering system. This system consists of a low-pass filter, which filters out high-frequency signals, and a high-pass filter, which filters out low-frequency signals. These filters provide high-pass and low-pass characteristics to suppress both high-frequency noise and low-frequency noise that could plague the data acquisition system.The ADS1110A2IDBVR provides excellent accuracy and linearity with 16-bit resolution. The device includes a precision on-chip reference and an on-chip gain amplifier. The on-chip gain amplifier provides both gain setting and offset adjustments. The on-chip programmable-gain amplifier allows the device to adapt to different input levels without compromising performance.In summary, the ADS1110A2IDBVR is a low-power and low-cost analog-to-digital converter which provides excellent accuracy and linearity.
