1. Describe
The ADS112C04IRTET is a precision 16-bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC) that provides many integrated features to reduce system cost and component count in applications measuring small sensor signals. The device features two functions via a flexible input multiplexer (MUX), a low noise, programmable gain amplifier (PGA), two programmable excitation current sources, a voltage reference, an oscillator, and a precision temperature sensor. One differential or four single-ended inputs. The device can perform conversions at data rates up to 2000 samples per second (SPS) and has single-cycle settling. At 20 SPS, the digital filter provides both 50-Hz and 60-Hz rejection for noisy industrial applications. The internal PGA provides up to 128 gain. This PGA makes the ADS112C04 ideal for applications that measure small sensor signals, such as resistance temperature detectors (RTDs), thermocouples, thermistors, and resistance bridge sensors. The ADS112C04IRTET has a 2-wire I2C compatible interface that supports I2C bus speeds up to 1 Mbps. Two address pins allow 16 different I2C addresses to be selected for the device. The ADS112C04 is available in a leadless 16-lead WQFN or 16-lead TSSOP package and is specified over the temperature range of –40°C to +125°C.

The ADS112C04IRTET is a precision 16-bit delta-sigma (ΔΣ) analog-to-digital converter (ADC) that provides many integrated functions to simplify the measurement of the most common sensor types, including various types of sensor temperature and bridge sensors. 7. Data Integrity Features
There are two ways to ensure the data integrity of the data output on the ADS112C04IRTET. The output data can be register contents or conversion results. Both data integrity options cover optional data counter words before converting data. Data integrity mode is configured using the CRC[1:0] bits in the configuration register. When CRC[1:0] = 01, a bit-reversed version of the data is output immediately after the most significant byte (MSB) of the data. When CRC[1:0] = 10, the 16-bit CRC word is output immediately after the MSB of the data.
