ADS1203IRGTTG4 application field and working principle

The ADS1203IRGTTG4 is an integrated signal conditioning system for magnetic field sensor measurement. It integrates signal conditioning with high resolution analog-to-digital converter (ADC) and programmable digital signal processor (DSP), allowing a single chip solution for a variety of applications such as tilt sensing, magnetic field monitoring, current sensing and microwave signal detection.The ADS1203IRGTTG4 is based on a 12 bit resolution, Delta-Sigma (Δ–Σ) ADC that features programmable gain and a flexible programming architecture to meet the requirements of different applications. The device has a throughput up to 15 samples per second and is able to measure a range of up to ±2500 mGauss (±25 G) with accuracy of ±0.5%. Every Δ–Σ AD converter following the zero-crossing principle of operation. The signal is chopped by a modulator, the output of the modulator is then integrated over one period of time and sampled by the ADC converter. The signal is then decimated which is the same as narrowing the bandwidth.
