ADS1248EVM is a low power, high speed, 16-bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC) evaluation module (EVM). It combines an embedded high accuracy, low noise, 24-bit delta-sigma analog-to-digital converter (ADC) with preamplifiers, programmable gain amplifiers (PGA), and voltage reference, as well as digital filter, multiplexer and much more.The ADS1248EVM is designed to give users the flexibility to test and evaluate the features and performance of the ADS1248 ADC. With the ADS1248EVM, users can easily configure the ADS1248 ADC through the Digital Control Interface (DCI). The DCI provides for 8-bit and 16-bit configuration commands, which can be used to control the ADC gain, input range, output data rate, and various performance parameters. Additionally, as the communications interface for the EVM, a standard ARM Cortex-M3 with USB-MSC and a USB-COM, SPI, and UART communication terminal are also provided.The ADS1248EVM is mainly intended for applications such as analog signal capture, data acquisition, precision control, embedded systems, industrial automation, and automotive.
