The Analog Devices ADT7468ZEVB Board is an Evaluation and Demonstration Board & Kit that provides customers with a comprehensive set of features for ease of use and rapid development of applications. The device supports a wide range of applications, from consumer and industrial, to automotive, and medical.The ADT7468ZEVB Board integrates two integrated circuits, the ADT7468Z and the ADT7510. The ADT7468Z senses temperature in both C and F units and has a temperature measurement range of -40/-40 degrees Celsius with an accuracy of up to 0.5°C. The ADT7510 is a low power, low noise, low cost CMOS sensor analog-to-digital converter (ADC) which supports conversion with sampling rate up to 250kHz and provides resolution of 16-bits with 0.25 LSB integral non-linearity. The combination of these two integrated circuits allows the board to measure temperature with accuracy and resolution, as well as converting analog signals into digital signals for display.Features of the ADT7468ZEVB include an on-board interconnect system to quickly interface with a compatible microcontroller, a digital interface suitable for various applications, and a user friendly GUI-based demonstration and programming environment. The on-board interconnect system comprises four pairs of signal wires connecting the module to the microcontroller. This allows rapid connection of the ADT7468ZEVB with external circuitry, simplifying development and learning process.The digital interface allows for easy communication with the user. It supports I2C (Inter-Integrated Circuit) and, on the ADT7510 side, UART (Universal Asynchronous Receiver/Transmitter) as well as SPI (Serial Peripheral Interface). The communication speeds in all interfaces are up to 400kHz. The user-friendly GUI-based programming and demonstration environment makes it easy for developers to program the board and setup and debug the enclosed demonstration applications.To monitor the temperature, the ADT7468ZEVB includes an on-board thermistor for accurate temperature sensing in different application zones and environment. The thermistor, in combination with the CMOS ADC, ensures an optimized temperature measurement process while maintaining low power consumption.When combined with a compatible platform, the ADT7468ZEVB is capable of providing real-time temperature measurement in various applications. These applications range from industrial to automotive, medical, and consumer solutions such as temperature monitors and controllers. In industrial applications, the board can be used for precision temperature sensing in order to lessen the frequency of errors in data acquisition processes. Automotive solutions such as tyre pressure monitoring systems (TPMS) take advantage of the board\'s high accuracy temperature measurement capabilities in order to ensure the driver\'s safety. Device manufacturers can also use the board for temperature sensing in medical implants and devices.
