It offers a wide input voltage range of 4.5V to 20V, making it suitable for powering from many available voltage sources. With a propagation delay of only 680ns, it is suited for high-speed transmission across smaller distances, and with a wide input voltage range, it can be very useful in generating signals or data streams over a long distance.The ADUM151N1BRZ-RL7 is extremely flexible, offering two operational modes. The transmissive mode operates with a supply voltage of at least 4.5V and a single wire connection to the system’s digital controller. In this mode, the device is bidirectional, allowing data to be transmitted and received between two separate circuits. In the reflective mode, the device requires a 3.3V DC voltage applied to the connection and uses two wires to transmit and receive the signal information.The device consists of a magnetic based isolator, which transmits the signal information through a digital isolator core. The core isolates the two circuits, preventing any interference between them. The two different circuits are connected by a bridge of magnetic-based isolators, which measure the voltage on each circuit separately. When the measured voltage on either side of the isolator bridge exceeds its rated voltage range, the separate circuits are disconnected.
