The AG933-07E is a voltage monitor IC intended for use in monitoring circuits in electronic circuits. The device is a voltage monitor dedicated to lithium-ion battery protection, and it can detect an overvoltage, an undervoltage, and an overcurrent based on a voltage signal from a battery, which is sent through an external amplifier circuit.

The AG933-07E is designed for the protection of lithium-ion batteries in automotive, industrial and consumer electronic applications. It calibrates accurately, with a fast response to a wide range of battery voltage levels.   • Overcurrent Detection: The AG933-07E has an internal current sensor to detect if the current drawn from the battery exceeds a preset threshold (OC). If the current goes beyond the preset threshold, the AG933-07E will detect an overcurrent condition and output an interrupt or shut down signal.

The AG933-07E is designed to be connected in series with the battery. It has two external influences, the battery voltage and the input current, both of which are measured by the internal sensors. The measured information is compared to the programmed thresholds and the operation of the device is determined by the comparison result. The output signal will be generated for either an overvoltage, undervoltage, or overcurrent event, and the device will send a signal to the system to shut down or generate an interrupt. The AG933-07E has a low quiescent current (25 to 50mA) which makes it suitable for all types of applications where current consumption needs to be kept to a minimum.
