Introduction

AGQ21T24 is a signal relay from the signal relays, up to 2 Amps category. It is a miniature interface signal relay suitable for applications with higher signal levels. This signal relay provides high switching capability and long service life.

Working Principle

AGQ21T24 operates in a three-state system, with a working voltage ranging from 5V to 60V. It is a contactless SD type relay with an automatic operating mode or manual switch. It incorporates an opto-coupler-based, low-power, solid-state driver for signal switching. This driver provides low ON resistance and high OFF resistance ensuring a high capacity to manage high levels of current and voltage. When the relay is controlled by a manual switch, the contacts are energized when the state of the switch is closed. The relay includes three springs that spring wires, which switch the voltage when the voltage level is applied to coil of the relay. This coil transmits the magnet through which the spring wire applies the necessary power to control the appropriate switch position. When the relay is controlled by an automated system, the current supplied to the relay is controlled by a switch. The output of the signal is generated by a controller, when the switch state is closed. This output supplies the voltage to the coils of the relay which initiate the spring wire to control the switch contact position.

It features a resistance range of 10Ω to 100Ω and a transmission range of 0.5A to 2.2A. The contact arrangement of AGQ21T24 is a DPDT (Double Pole Double Throw) type contact. It has two closed SPDT (Single Pole Double Throw) contacts with open-circuit impedance that provides an ON resistance of 4Ω to 20Ω and an OFF resistance of, 4Ω to 22Ω. A version that can work between -40~+85℃ is also available. Moreover, it also has one LED which lights up when the power is on.Furthermore, the maximum switching voltage of AGQ21T24 signal relay is 250V AC and the switching current is up to 2A. It also incorporates a surge suppression system in order to reduce the surge on high-pressure lines. It also includes an overvoltage protection mechanism to protect the driver circuit from voltage fluctuations.
