The AH3774-W-7 is a Magnetic Sensor-Switch in a solid state, designed to monitor the status of any magnetic field. It has a wide range of applications and its working principle is fairly simple.The sensor works by detecting the presence and strength of a magnetic field. It does this using a specialized type of silicon called magnetoresistive silicon. This type of silicon allows the AH3774-W-7 to detect changes in the magnetic field that it is sensing. When the magnetic field changes, the effect on the magnetoressistive silicon is converted into electrical signals which can be interpreted by the controller of the system that the sensor is installed in.The AH3774-W-7 is a solid state device and is designed for extreme applications. Featuring a waterproof plastic casing and robust construction, it is able to survive in harsh environments without sustaining damage. Additionally, its design allows for the installation of multiple sensors in different positions with only a single cable run for all sensors. This reduces the need for more complex cabling which provides an added level of simplicity and cost savings.
