Buzzers are usually mounted in the ship’s superstructure and are powered by electrical energy.SirensSirens are very similar to horns and buzzers in terms of their size and the audio output they produce. However, sirens differ in the way the audio sound is produced, as sirens are able to produce a much more intense sound than horns or buzzers. Sirens are used in ships to produce warning signals in very loud and hostile environments, such as sea states 4-6 or engine rooms. They are typically powered by air and capable of producing up to 185 dB of sound.Working PrincipleThe AI-430 system is controlled using an integrated control board. This control board is connected to the electronic logic control (ELC) board, which contains the necessary circuitry for controlling the various sound devices in the system. The ELC board is also connected to the sound horns, buzzers and sirens.
