The AK09915C is a magnetic sensor equipped with both a high sensitivity linear geomagnetic sensor and an electronic compass utilizing the latest pulse digital conversion method of Hall elements. The device is ideal for small, low-power consumer devices including cell phones, tablets and wearables as well as for automotive applications requiring a superior combination of low-power, low-noise performance, small form-factor, and accuracy.

The AK09915C consists of a high sensitivity linear geomagnetic sensor. The linear geomagnetic sensor is used to detect the magnetic field around it, providing the user with a value that is proportional to the amount of magnetism present. It can operate in two axes, the X-axis and the Y-axis, allowing the user to measure the strength of the magnetic field in both directions. The AK09915C boasts a resolution of 0.1uT, allowing the user to detect very small changes in the magnetic field strength. The device also has a built in temperature sensor, allowing the device to compensate for any temperature changes.

Compass (ICs)

The AK09915C also features a compass, utilizing the latest pulse digital conversion method of Hall elements.
