The AK6481CM is a CMOS kernel based embedded SRAM that is developed by AKM Semiconductor. It is highly integrated and meets the needs of demanding, low temperature and power consuming applications, where SRAM memories are specifically needed. The AK6481CM can be used in applications such as industrial, automotive and battery powered systems that require fast switching times, high capacity and a wide operating voltage range.
This device consists of an 8K x 16-bit SRAM architecture, designed for high clock speed operations and ultra-low power consumption. Through the use of BiCMOS technology, AK6481CM is able to offer low power operation at a wide voltage range of 1.8V to 5.5V. Using an advanced deep-sleep mode and the ability to power-down single blocks of the memory in order to reduce power consumption, the AK6481CM offers superior energy efficiency. In addition, it has a wide operating temperature range of -40°C to 125°C.
The data is accessed through a special instruction set, which is similar to the one used by many standard SRAMs. The memory array can be accessed through individual registers depending on the purpose.
