Providing a variable gain range of 0 to 70dB, the gain of the first stage is set utilizing a 10-turn trimmer gain control, while the second stage gain is fine-tuned using a 6-turn trimmer. This makes the amplifier suitable for a variety of applications, as it can be tailored to fit both low power and higher power radio communication requirements.The ALM-11236-TR1G offers high linearity with excellent third order intercept point (OIP3) performance. Its dual internal couplings mean that large values of input return loss perturbations will not cause a significant degradation of output power level all across the 1-500MHz operating range.The amplifier is impedance matched to 50Ohms across its whole bandwidth, and can operate from a single DC power supply of +24V.
