Finally, the output is filled through a power amplifier stage.The LNA stage boosts the incoming low level signal and further enhances signal-to-noise ratio (SNR). It has a typical noise figure of 1.5 dB and a gain of 15dB. This stage is also capable of reducing interference such as cross-coupling and intermodulation. After the signal is passed through the filter, it is then amplified to the desired output level by the VGA stage. The VGA stage is a variable amplifier with an adjustable gain range of 0-20dB up to an output power of 17dBm. In addition to signal gain, the VGA stage also controls output power and noise figure.
