The AM3505AZCNA is a type of microprocessor used in embedded systems and embedded materials. It is a 32-bit MIPS-compatible microprocessor (MIMP) developed by high-scale non-volatile controller vendor Mazak Corporation. With its high processing power, rich instruction set and high operation speed, AM3505AZCNA is suitable for a wide range of powerful embedded applications including information appliance, robots and industrial control.

In terms of application field, AM3505AZCNA is mainly used in industrial automation and home appliances. As for working principle, AM3505AZCNA operates based on the von Neumann architecture. The ALU is responsible for performing calculation and comparison as well as logically manipulating data, while the CU manages the execution of sequences of instructions. The instruction memory stores a sequence of instructions that the ALU and CU can execute, and the data memory stores operands which will be operated on by the ALU.

The AM3505AZCNA processor can be set to operate at a maximum frequency of 1.2GHz and features a production process technology of 0.13μm. It supports up to 64KB of instruction cache, 2MB of data cache, 1GB/s of system bus bandwidth, and 16KB of DMA memory. In addition, it also has 300 assembler instructions, support for GPIO and SPI peripherals, and 24 general-purpose registers.

AM3505AZCNA incorporates several advanced power saving technologies such as dynamic voltage scaling (DVS) and self-clock-gating. DVS can reduce power consumption while the processor is idle by automatically lowering the clock frequency. Self-clock-gating can reduce power consumption even further by stopping the clock to idle units when they are not required. These advanced power saving technologies ensure that AM3505AZCNA can provide high performance with low power consumption.
