The main components of the AMB4426 include a power amplifier (PA), a low noise amplifier( LNA), an amplifier for off-chip RF filtering, and a digital baseband processor (BBP). The PA generates the radio frequency (RF) signals that are transmitted in order to communicate with other devices in the same frequency range. The BBP is responsible for processing and sending/receiving digital data across the airwaves. The LNA is used to amplify the signal from the receiver antenna. The amplifier provides off-chip RF filtering for improved interference suppression.
The AMB4426 offers an extremely low power consumption of 3.6mA@3.3V, far below the power consumption of most other transceiver modules. This translates to a longer service life since it consumes less power during operation. Moreover, the AMB4426 has a wide dynamic power range, adjustable from 0.2uW to 2.25mW, which can work better with different distances from the antenna, offering better performance in terms of signal strength. It supports Adaptive Frequency Hopping (AFH) to reduce interference from adjacent channels, as well as spread spectrum techniques to support improved range. Other features include an onboard low pass filter to reduce Harmonic distortion, as well as an Automatic retransmission feature to improve communication robustness.
