Analog to Digital Converters (ADCs) are digital devices that convert analog signals into digital information. The most common type of ADC is the Pulse-Code Modulation (PCM) system, which uses ADC converters to convert analog signals into digital signals. The PCM technique was developed in the 1950s to allow telephone signals to be digitized and transmitted. In the realm of data acquisition, the application of an ADC is comparatively straightforward.
