Working Principle
The AML43FBB40G is a bi-color panel indicator that changes its color from red to green when triggered. It has two independent circuits (red and green) connected to a light source that glows when the circuit is closed. Each circuit consists of two switches, one to turn on the device and the other to turn it off. When the switch is closed, the current flows through the bulb, turning the light source on. When the switch is opened, the current stops flowing and the light source stops glowing.

Each of the two light sources is controlled independently. The switch controlling the red light source is powered by an AC current of up to 250 volts. The switch controlling the green light source is powered by DC current of up to 5 amps. This bi-color light source also reduces the amount of wiring required compared to single color light sources, providing a more efficient solution.
