Working Principle

The IC features a low-current operation of about 1mA and speed 720 steps per second for the pulse input control method, and speed up to 400 steps per second for the resolver control method.
The AN15852A-VT uses the Pulse/DIR signal inputs to control the direction and speed of a motor. The IC consists of an error amplifier, current comparator, pulse generator, voltage limiter, power MOSFET gate drivers, and MOSFET devices.
