This energy will travel through the central conductor, and it will then create a capacitive coupling between the central conductor and the two aluminum foil strips. This will enable the antenna to perform as a quarter-wave vertical dipole, making signal radiation with an impedance of 50 Ohms.
This then enables the antenna to produce but energy from one side, where the vertical dipole pattern and the energy flow will be same from all directions. The power then continues along the two aluminum foil strips with the same magnitude. By the time the power reaches the end, it will have a particular form known as a donut that is symmetrically distributed. This donut will then be transmitted in the previously mentioned directions, enabling 360-degree coverage.
