Working Principle of AP431SBN1TR-G1

The internal structure of AP431SBN1TR-G1 is mainly made up of three parts: the program circuit, the output PNP transistor and the error amplifier circuit. The program circuit acts as a voltage divider, it can control the voltage of the output PNP transistor’s emitter according to the voltage provided by a certain outside reference, so as to form an adjustable output voltage which decreases as the outside reference voltage increases. The output PNP transistor is responsible for regulating the output current, and it can work normally as long as it is given a certain base current. The error amplifier circuit provides additional gain for the pi network circuit, thereby minimizing the output voltage deviation from the reference voltage.
