The AP5725WG-7 is a PMIC that integrated a buck-boost converter, a high-side and low-side driving circuit, two switch logic control circuit and two MOSFETs in the driver IC package. The built-in buck converter helps adjust the input voltage to the optimal working voltage of the low-side MOSFETs and the voltage stability is guaranteed.
The two high-side and low-side MOSFETs can adjust the output current. When the input voltage is too low, the boost converter will adjust the voltage and boost the output voltage similar to the way a buck-boost converter works.
