1. Describe

The APX803L40-34SA-7 is a new family of micropower voltage detectors developed by Diodes Inc. for microprocessor (µP) supervisory circuits monitoring power supplies in µP and digital systems. It offers a wide range of detection voltage levels from 1.2V to 5.0V, with 0.1V per step options fixed inside the circuit design. As for supply current, the APX803L series requires a supply current level as low as 1µA (typ) that will not stress the power efficiency of systems that require detection capability, such as smartphones, battery powered devices, internet devices, etc. These circuits work by finding that the monitored VCC level is below a selected threshold voltage level and the reset signal will be held until VCC returns to a level above the threshold voltage. The APX803L features open-drain and active-low output pins and features multiple delay time options (0ms, 55ms, 220ms and 450ms) as required by the system. The APX803L is available in two pin-out variants in 3-pin SOT23, SOT323, SC59 and SOT25 packages.
