Solid State Relays (SSRs) are usually utilized for industrial applications instead of mechanical relays due to its superior performance. Working Principle
The AQV253 is driven by a bistable control circuit. It has two static states: complement and off. In the complement state, the circuit output is the highest, allowing AC current to flow through the load. When the circuit output is off, it triggers the thyristors to open, thereby preventing current flow through the load and thus cutting off power.
The operation of AQV253 SSR can be simplified as follows: when applied with a signal voltage, the two output relays are activated at the same time and the SSR is energized. Then the SSR actuator circuit will turn on the thyristors, so that the AC voltage will be switched to the corresponding output terminal, enabling the load to be connected.
Properties
The AQV253 SSR has several advantageous properties as coupled with its replace relay. It has a high conducting rate with high isolation voltage between the control end and load end, allowing it to be used in many high voltage applications.
