It integrates 1/4 inch optical format, 1.3 Megapixel resolution, with 54 phillips active pixels, low-light sensitivity of only 0.20 lux is one of its most standout features. Working Principle

The working principle of AR0130CSSC00SPCAH-GEVB is based on the generation of a photoelectric charge when light impinges on the semiconductor material of the imaging cell. Each pixel in the sensor has its own set ofMetal Oxide Semiconductor Field Effect Transistors (MOSFETS)for controlling the transfer of the generated charge into a storage node, which allows the electronic signals generated from the image frame to be read out of the sensor using a serial data interface.

The charge is transferred from the imaging cell into the storage node via the MOSFETs, and the stored charge is converted to an electric signal by a correlated double sampling technique. The digital image sensor makes use of analog to digital converter to convert the analog image to digital signal which is readable by the microcomputer. The resulting output is a digital signal, which can further be amplified or manipulated in order to improve the image quality.
