AR0130CSSM00SUFAH-GEVB is an Evaluation Board from the Sensors family. It features a two-channel imager focused on voltage applications. It is designed to support the development of differential measurements in a wide range of applications from environmental monitoring, oil and gas exploration, medical instrumentation, and motion control to vibration sensing and more.

The evaluation board is based on Philips’ AR0130 low voltage imaging sensor. Its two 1.9 um analogue small pixel (ASP) outputs generate a nominal 1.6V, making it ideal for environmental monitoring or low voltage applications. Each output has a 320x256 pixel resolution and a maximum line rate of 30 fps.

The board features a two-channel imager with a high signal to noise ratio and a low capture latency of 850 ns, making it suitable for rapid motion capture applications. It has a wide dynamic range of 122 dB and supports 12-bit resolutions. It also features selectable full well capacity, allowing the user to optimize sensitivity for high or low noise applications.

With an integrated USB interface the board can be operated on any PC. It is also compatible with leading processor families such as Atmel, NXP, Texas Instruments and Analog Devices. It is furthermore supported by the EVA IDE, a development environment for evaluating video image sensors. The EVA IDE is an open-source utility for debugging, programming, and controlling the board.

The AR0130CSSM00SUFAH-GEVB evaluation board is designed to work with an external supply and is provided with an I2C bus to provide full control via a processor but the board can be also operated without a processor. This makes it suitable for use in low-power designs where a processor is not available.

The board includes several features to simplify usage, such as a connector for on-board programming and a selector for input/output analog/digital configuration. The board supports up to 8 input/output modules via an isolated I2C bus. All components are connected to the board, which also contains a temperature sensor to help users filter out thermally induced image noise.
