The ARXP1203 RF relay features an isolation resistance of 24K ohm and a maximum contact rating of 250VAC/125VDC, at a maximum load of 5A. The device has an operating frequency of 2GHz to 6GHz, and a bandwidth of 4GHz. The switching time of the ARXP1203 is less than 8ms in either direction, and will not degrade in the off-state. The device features a low RF leakage of -80db at 6GHz, and a low control current of 2.2mA/12VDC.

The RF relay is suitable for a wide range of telecom and data communications applications, including signal switching and routing of microwave signals, in both digital and analog systems. It can also be used for switching and protection applications in cellular Base stations, Repeaters, Network Interface systems, transceiver systems, channel banks, core racks and switching systems.

In terms of its working principle, the ARXP1203 consists of two subparts – an electromechanical switch and a microcontroller-controlled circuit. The switch consists of a hermetically sealed, high precision-tolerance coil that provides a secure and reliable contact when energized. When the coil is powered, a spring mechanism engages the switch contact, creating the electrical connection. When the coil’s power is removed, the activation spring returns the contacts to the default, “off” state.

The microcontroller-controlled circuit consists of two logic input stages and two output stages. The logic input stages detect the logic level state of the controlling signal and then activate the corresponding output stage. The output stages, in turn, control the coil of the electromechanical switch. This system ensures that the switch is activated safely and reliably.

The ARXP1203 has a wide temperature range of -45℃ to +105℃, and is capable of sustaining over 1 million switching cycles. The device is resistant to shock, vibration, and humidity, and is designed for long-term reliability and high performance.
